To start off your music making career you do not need any expensive equipment or instruments. Curse anyone who says you do. Nowadays there are many simple and easy to use "music makers". You need not spend anymore than £30 for piece of softare that will give you all that you need for getting started. You can also get free pieces of software from magazine CDs. Check out the read section for details. My advice to you is to get a simple drag 'n' drop piece of software to start with. You will also get a sample CD with this so don't panic. You can also get extra sample CDs with specific genres on them. You do not need to know a note of music to use these programs. If it sounds good to you then it is good! However, this requires about more technical knowledge, technology, and musical knowledge.
